CHAPTER 1 - The Start of the Holiday
"Its not fair!" shouted George. "Julian and Dick are camping with their friends!"
It was the beginning of the summer holiday, and George was expecting ALL of her cousins to be here, at Kirrin. "Calm down, dear" said her mother. "At least Anne is coming. Half a loaf is better than none!" Then, Timmy, George's dog came with his tongue stuck out.
"Wuff!" barked Timmy.
"Good old Tim! You will never part from me!" said George. "Mother, when is Anne coming?" she asked to her mother.
"She will be here tomorrow." Mother smiled.
After supper, George went to bed and Timmy, as usual, leaped on his master's legs. "Tim, Anne will come tomorrow." George whispered to him. "Are you excited? We'll have a great f-" And she slept. The whole house was quiet and everyone was asleep, well, except Tim, who was still awake, listening to every sound. Owl howling, cats purring, the wind blowing. What a peaceful night.
Cock-a-doodle-doo!! George jumped out of the bed, and Timmy fall off her legs. Why! Anne was coming! She dashed out of her room, slapped the door behind her (making a loud noise, which her father didn't like. Thankfully, her father was still sound asleep), and rushed down the stairs. And there was Joanna the Chef cooking breakfast in the Kitchen.
"Good Morning, Joanna!" greeted George.
"Goody Morning!" Joanna greeted back. "Well, did you know your father is a bit sick? He coughed all night and now he's still in his bed." Oh no! Why was this happing at the beginning of this beautiful holiday!
George stood there without moving, feeling quite unhappy. Even though her father had a bad-temper, she still loved him. "He'll be alright" said George, comforting herself. "Human always get sick." Joanna delivered a nice plate of bacons to George, smiling. George's mother came down to get her husband's breakfast to him. "George, you'll need to take care of yourself. Your father's sick, and now I'll be busy. You might want to camp out if you want." And with that, she rushed back to her poor, sick husband.
Hot bacons, eggs, and many other food Joanna prepared. George and Tim had a gorgeous breakfast. While she was clearing up and helped Joanna wash the dishes, somebody knocked the door. She ran to open it, but when she opened it, nobody was there.
Annoyed, George walked away. And the door was knocked again! George stumped to the door. "How dare you knocking the door like that!" she thought to herself. She shouted that the door "GO AWAY, WHOEVER YOU ARE! STOP KNOCKING!" But that "whoever you are" kept knocking the door. George opened it, and this time, Anne was at the door, laughing. "Oh hello Anne!" said George. "So it was you who knock the door and ran away!" Anne stuck out her tongue. "Yes, it was me!" said she. "How funny it is to hear you shouting at the door like that!" And they both smiled.
CHAPTER 2 - Going to Camp
Anne and George were happily play chess in the girl's room, and Timmy slept on George's cozy bed. Her mother came into the room, holding a letter. "This a letter for you, George and Anne," said Mother. "Got to go, your father's wanting tea." Anne opened the letter and read aloud:
"Hooray! The boys are finally coming!" cried Anne, who was VERY glad.
"And we'll have another adventure together again!" added George, who was as happy as Anne.
"But what shall we do when the boys aren't here yet?" asked Anne.
"Mother said we could camp if we want," replied George. "What do you think?"
Of course, Anne was willing to go! "What a great idea! We'll take our camping tents, torches, and food."
"Woof!" barked Tim.
"Oh! He is reminding us not to forget about his dog biscuit," said George. "I'll go get them. And the map, too!"
George was back and took out the map. "We'll camp at this meadow," said she, looking closely to the map. "It's quite near a museum, called 'Kitsune Museum'." But Anne was not listening, she was busy packing camping stuff, and rushed downstairs to ask for food. Anne said, "Hi Joanna! May I have some food, please? George and I are going camping."
Joanna smiled. "Of course you can have some food, no, a LOT of food," replied Joanna. "Camping at this time of the year is a good choice!" And she started to work. "Thanks, Joanna!" said Anne, feeling grateful.
After a few hours, the girls are ready to go. They told George's mother they're camping out, and she just agreed. "Go wherever you like," she said. "I'm busy. Bye, dears!" Off they went to a meadow not very far, with Tim at their heels. Butterflies flew around them, Squirrel return to their home, and Timmy tried to chase the rabbits, who rushed back to their holes.
They sent up their tents in the meadow, and roamed freely around the place. What a happy day!
CHAPTER 3 - Kisune Museum
"We're finally here," said George. "The meadow's a nice place, isn't it?" Soft grass spread for hundreds of miles, flower bloomed everywhere, small animals hurried here and there, and a spring was flowing. "Wuff! Wuff!" barked Timmy when he saw a rabbit. He ran and ran, chasing the rabbit joyfully. Anne and George unpacked their tents and starting build them. Then Anne prepared a nice supper.
"Smell jolly nice," praised George. "When you are around, I needn't worry about our meals!" Anne was glad. "Thanks," she replied. They soon had their supper, and felt tired. "I'm going to sleep," said Anne, yawning. "Corrections!" said George. "Its we, not I" And they all went to sleep in their tents.
Morning came pretty quickly, George got out of their tents. Anne was already preparing breakfast. "Good Moring, George!" said Anne. "Wash your face, you look sleepy." And George, with Tim, went to the spring to wash. But, when she was washing, George noticed words carved on a rock nearby.
Kitsune. Juicy Lake. Little Man. Inside.
What does it meant? She told Anne about the words. Anne told her to wait for the boys to come.
"Let's go to the museum after cleaning up," said George. "It must have lots of ancient artifacts." But dogs weren't allowed to come into the museum, so Tim had to stay outside. "Stay, Tim," said George. "Stay!" Tim of course knew what "stay" meant. He obediently sat down, as the girls entering the museum. The museum was "nice and big", as Anne said afterward. Anne and George stood without moving, fascinated, looking around. They explored the place, appreciating the artifacts. They saw a statue, portraits of famous people, an old-fashioned radio, and.....a Golden Cup! "Look, George!" said Anne to George, in a low voice. "What a beautiful cup, it is. Let me read the description."
A Roman Cup, that was used by Julius Caesar himself, was found buried in the mud of River Thames. This cup is made of pure Roman Gold, which is very valuable.
"Used by Julius himself!" exclaimed George. "It was be more than a hundred year old!"
"Yes," said a voice from their backs, "this is more valuable than a pound a gold! Our security tried their very best to protect this rare cup." It was a staff behind them. "Hi, ma'am!" greeted the girls.
"Hi, girls. My name is Helen, welcome to our museum! I'm one of the staffs here. Nice to meet you." The Staff followed them everywhere, teaching them about the artifacts in the museum. "Another history class," thought George to herself. Suddenly, they saw a man rushing behind the Roman Gold Cup towards the exit. How strange! Who was he?
CHAPTER 4 - Julian and Dick - and Peter
The girls left the museum, feeling puzzled. "Let's have lunch," said Anne. And she and George prepared their meals. "How very strange!" said George, having her meal. "Running away like that!" The girls both hoped that the boys were here, they would have ideas to find out who is. "Julian and Dick will be here soon," said Anne.
Day pasted very quickly, and it was time when Julian and Dick to come. George and Anne waited for them at the Kirrin Station, both very excited. The train arrived on schedule, and the boys jumped out of the train. "Hi, George and Anne!" greeted the boys The Five are together again. They biked all the way to their camping site, and George told them what happened. Anne added the parts George missed. Julian and Dick were bewildered. "Maybe he was trying to steal the cup?" asked Julian. Nobody knew for sure!
When they finally arrived at their camp, George showed Julian the words carved on the rock. "How very strange. Words carved on a rock. A stranger rushing by a gold cup. Huh?" Suddenly, they hear barks from Timmy, and - another puppy! "Oh, so cute!" said George. "Poor little dog. Lost, I suppose?"
"Put down my dog," cried a boy who spotted them, "Put Fido down!" George immediately put the puppy down. "Who are you?" demanded Dick.
"I'll tell you, ok? Be patient," said the boy. "I'm Peter, an American. I'm actually hiding from some kidnappers..."
"Kidnappers?" asked George.
"Yes," answered Peter. "I fled from United States to here."
"Why?" said Anne. "Why do they want to kidnap you?"
"Well, it's a long story," said the American boy. "But I'll explain to you. My parents died years ago, and a man adopted me. He became my guardian. We lived very happily, until one night when I heard some noises in the house. I went to investigate and found out that its my guardian. He was talking busily with another man I didn't know. They were whispering, but somehow I heard that they were attempting to steal a golden cup!"
"A golden cup?" interrupted Dick.
"Ya, a golden cup," answered Peter.
The Five was astonished, including Tim who gave a little whine. "Pete, did you hear where was the cup?" asked Julian
"Yes, I did, but not very clear," said Peter. "They said 'Kitson'? Or maybe 'Ketsun'? Or 'Kitsune'?"
"KITSUNE!!" shouted the the children at the same time.
CHAPTER 5 - The Five are very busy
"Well, the next morning, I asked my guardian about the whispering and the stranger talking to him last night," continued Peter. "He became very angry, and said he heard nothing. Then he scolded me for leaving my bedroom. I became suspicious, so I always remained awake in the night.
"My guardian and the stranger kept talking in the night. One night, I couldn't control myself, and went to listen to them again. This time I heard them saying about me and the stranger said that I might raise the alarm when they are stealing the cup.
"Then I heard bad news! They'll lock me in my room!" And the poor boy started to cry. "So I escaped the house, and hid in a steamboat. The ship took me here...." he said.
"Don't worry," comforted Anne. "You can hide here with us."
"Thanks," answer the poor boy.
"Maybe you should disguise yourself?" suggested George. "That way, they won't recognize you."
"Nice idea!" said Peter. "But how??"
"Don't you worry," said Julian. "I already have an idea."
The children started to work. They gave Peter one of Dick's shirt's, George's hat, and many more. One of the best disguise was Julian's fake glasses. "Oh, Peter!" said Anne. "I almost can't recognize you!"
"Good," said George. "That means we had finish our work! Oh, Peter. You really don't looked like yourself!"
"That's wunnerful!" said Peter, feeling very glad to meet such good friends. "Fido, do you still know me?" Of course, Fido still know him! He jumped around him, and licked him until he was wet.
"Right, we must know start to stop Peter's guardian from stealing the Golden Cup," announced Julian. "Can we visit the museum?"
"Of course you can," said George. "Don't worry, Peter. I know dogs aren't allowed to go in. I'll stay and take care of Fido. Bye, Ju. Remember to look at the Golden Cup!"
Off they went into the grand museum. They asked the staff at the counter about the cup. "T...The cup is s...stolen," said the staff. "It s...stolen!!" And he began to cry.
Stolen? The boys went to investigate. Sure enough, it was not there!!
CHAPTER 6 - New Discovery
The boys hurried out of the museum. They informed Anne and George that the cup was gone. "Should we call the police?" asked George.
"No," said Dick. "They should already know, and we don't want polices interrupting our adventure!"
"Then what should we do?" asked Anne. "We must do something!"
"I'm quite thirsty," said Peter. "Anyone has water?"
"No," said Dick, rising up. "But there's a spring over there. I feel thirsty, too. Let's go, Pete!" They both drank water, but, suddenly, Peter shouted. "Hey, look! It's a stone with words carved by my guardian!" "By your guardian?" asked Dick. "You wait here, I'll go tell the others to come."
He dashed towards the campsite, and told the others about the stone. Theirs eyes popped out when they heard that the words were carve by Peter's guardian (well, their eyes did not really popped out, but you get the idea).
They dashed to the spring, and started to ask Peter all sorts of questions.
"You must know about those places, right? Did you know anything about 'Juicy Lake'?" asked George.
"Yes, of course I know. It's a lake behind a this meadow, not very far, I think." answered Peter.
"What about 'Little Man'? What is that?" asked Anne
"Well, I don't know about that. It reminds me of an atomic bomb dropped on Japan....." the American answered.
"Let's go to Juicy Lake, shall we?" said Julian. "Maybe we'll find something." They ran to the lake, as fast as lighting, with two dogs at their heels. Oh, how good it is to be in another adventure!
CHAPTER 7 - Little Man and "War"
They arrived at the lake very soon and started to search. They found nothing, but rocks and soil. "There's nothing here," groaned George. "Absolutely nothing!" Timmy and Fido were playing and jumping like mad. They were playing happily until Fido stepped on something hard and started to whine.
"Oh dear, Fido," said Peter. "What happened to you?" Timmy pushed the hard object to Peter. "What's this? A little doll in a figure of a man made of plastic?" He showed to Julian, who was astonished. "Hey!" he shouted with joy. "How did you find that? It's 'Little Man'!"
"But how can you put a golden cup inside??" asked Peter.
"I don't know," replied Julian. "Let's show it to the others. They might know what to do." But, no one knew about the doll. "Let me see," said Anne. "It doesn't seems like a normal doll - it's hollow inside! Maybe there something inside?" She tried all she can to open. She twisted it, crashed it on a rock, and threw it from high places. Finally, with hard work, the doll cracked open, and something fell out.
The children went to inspect it. Suddenly, some mud balls flew and hit theirs backs. More came flying to them. "It's Ruth!" shouted Peter. "A student from my class in America!"
"Who?" cried the Five, dodging every mud balls.
"Ruth! She's the most annoying girl! She switched off the lights when I was studying, put water in my bottle of glue, and did everything to make me upset!"
"Fire!!" shouted Julian, who suddenly became a 'army commander'. The children collected their own mud ball and shot back. Ruth retreated, and the Five won. "VICTORY!" shouted the triumphant children.
They continued their investigation, and found out many things! There's a message written on paper hidden inside the doll.
"Arrows?" said George. "The one used by archers, or the one that shows direction?"
"The one that show directions, of course," answered Julian.
"Look!" exclaimed Anne. "An arrow!"
"Yes!" cheered Peter. "An arrow that shows directions!"
CHAPTER 8 - The Cave
"WOW!" said Dick.
"WOW!" said Julian.
"WOW!" said Anne.
"WOW!" said George.
"WOW!" said Peter.
It was truly an amazing cave. Bats flew around, water flowed, and sound echoed. "Woof!" barked the dogs, and the sound echoed. It was like invisible thousands of dogs barking. Timmy and Fido hid behind their masters, scared to death.
"Don't worry, Fido," said Peter to his dog. "Nothing to be afraid of. It's only the echoes!"
"Is there anymore arrows?" asked George.
"No," responded Anne. "I can't see any."
"Look!" cried Dick. "Somebodies coming! Hide!"
They hid behind a large rock, and peeped to see who it was. "It's Ruth." whispered Anne. "What is she planning to do?" Ruth was carrying a large bucket full of water. "Come out!" she shouted and order. "I saw you, the six of you!"
"Oh no!" said Julian under his breath. "She's trying to soak us! We'll soak her instead! Dick, can you rush to our campsite and fetch the water bucket?"
"Yes sir," said Dick. He dashed to the campsite without being seen, and brought the bucket. "Here, Ju," he said. "Here's the bucket!" "Thanks," replied Julian. He took the bucket, filled it with water, and shouted, "Hey, Ruth! Here we are!" And with that, he poured out the water and splashed on Ruth!
"That's got rid of her," said Julian. The children started their searched around the place, looking at every detail. The dogs helped, too. Finally, Peter found something. Something that is very important. It's a Map!! "But it's only a PART of a map," said Peter with a sigh. "We must find all!" One by one, the pices are found. The Five are too happy for words! "Look!" cried George. "It tells us where the stolen cup is! It's in a.. an... an island?"
"How dare they hide stolen stuff on MY island," said George. "What till I catch them, and hand them to the police! It would be a jolly good surprise for them!"
"Let's go back now," said Anne. "Shall we?"
"Yes, we shall," answered Julian. "But, oh no! How? We've lost our way!"
CHAPTER 9 - Oh no!
"What now?" asked George. "We'll be suck in here forever!"
"I don't want to be in here forever!" said Anne, crying.
"Of course, no one wants," said Peter. "But I have an idea. The dogs can help us!"
"Oh, of course!" cried Julian. "What a great idea! George tell Timmy to find a way out."
George whispered something to to Timothy's ear, and he started to sniff. The children followed Tim everywhere he go, and after a loooong time, they arrived at the entrance of the cave. "Ah, thank you, Tim!" said Anne. "We're saved!"
"Now let's go to Kirrin island, shall we?" asked George, who was still angry about someone on her island. "Please!"
"Alright," answered Julian. "Let's go!"
They traveled in George's boat, feeling happy and glad. George professionally sailed the boat passed the dangerous rocks and docked on the island. "Land ho!" she declared. "We've arrived!"
They hunted and looked for any traces left by the robber. "Look," said Julian, picking up a a piece of paper. "It has something written on it! Let's see."
"I am under water
and surrounded by water."
"Under water and surrounded by water?" said Peter. "Where's that place?"
"I know!" said George, who knew every inch of the island. "Follow me!"
They followed George to a cave and went in. "This tunnel leads to the main land, so we're currently 'under water and surrounded by water'. And look, is that the cup we're looking for?"
"Hooray!" shouted the children. "We've found the cup!"
"Not so fast," someone said. The stranger ran through the children, grabbed the Golden Cup, and ran away!
"Oh no!" cried Anne. "All our hard work is gone!"
"Who was that just now?" asked George. "I don't like strangers on MY island!"
"I think I know who it is..." said Peter softly. "It's the stranger that talked to my guardian!"
CHAPTER 10 - "How wunnerful!"
The dogs started to bark and followed the stranger. "Follow them!" shouted Peter. They ran across the island until they arrive at the shore. The stranger jumped into his rowboat, and quickly rowed away. The children jumped into their own boat and started rowing. "You know what?" said George. "Lately, I upgraded my boat! There." She took out an engine and place it on the stern of the boat.
"WOW!" exclaimed Dick. "Your boat became a motor boat!"
"Now we'll be able to chase after him," said Julian. "Let's go!!!"
They zoomed through the bay. The stranger saw that he was outwitted, he quickly rowed towards land. He jumped into a car nearby, and rushed away, shouting "Valete!" which means 'goodbye' in Latin.
"What!?" cried Peter. "We almost caught him!"
"Now what should we do?" asked Anne.
"I don't know," answered Julian sadly.
"I know what we can do..." said George. "Let's get on our bicycle and follow him!"
"But bicycles aren't fast enough," said Peter.
They became silent for a long time, thinking what to do. "I've got a jolly good idea!" shouted Anne suddenly. "We could go to every hotel in town, because Peter's guardian live there, right? He's an American, so he can't possibly buy a house!"
"You're right! Anne, you are very clever," praised Julian. "Let's split up and go to every hotel. But first, can you tell us your guardian's name, Peter?"
"His name is Adam Adams," answered Peter.
"Adam Adams??" said George. "What a strange name."
"Anyways, let's go now, shall we?" asked Dick.
"Right," answered Julian. "Let's go!"
They split up into 2 groups; Anne, Timmy, and George in a group. Julian, Peter, Dick, and Fido in the other group. They went off, stopping at every hotel, and asking the staff at the front desk. Later, the children gathered again at their campsite, reporting every information they found. "Mr. Adams don't live in hotel!" grumbled George. "The staffs always say ' There's no such person.'"
"We found out that Mr. Adams rented a house!" said Julian. "It's in 221b, Baker Street. We'll go there tomorrow. And, ho, it's long past dinner time, my tummy grumbling like George!" George growled, and the children giggled. "Let me prepared our meals," volunteered Anne. She took out lots of food and served them to the others. "What a wunnerful time we had!" said Peter.
CHAPTER 11 - Sherlock Holmes!
On the next day, the children woke up. They had breakfast, and continued their chase after Mr. Adam Adams. "We'll go to 221b Bakers Street now," declared Julian. "Let's go!" They got on their bicycle (Luckily, George had a spare bicycle, so Peter can ride, too), and rode away.
The children stopped suddenly, and saw a familiar person - wearing a brown shirt, a brown cap, and smoking a pipe - and a doctor. "Mr. Sherlock Holmes!" shouted Peter. "And Mr. Watson!" The two man turned around, and found the six children. "Hi, kids," said Watson.
"Who are you?" asked Mr. Holmes.
The children introduced themselves, and told him some of their adventure. "Wow!" he exclaimed. "I never thought that children can solve mystery!"
"Sir," said Dick. "We're going to 221b Bakers Street, but I remembered that you live there, isn't it?"
"Yes, I lived there," explained Holmes. "But, I had moved to somewhere else. Why are you going there, anyways?"
"Some thieves are living there now," said Julian.
"And they stole a Golden Cup," added Peter.
"Can you help us?" asked George. "I'm sure you'll help!"
"Yes, of course, I'll help you," answer the detective. "Can you give me more information about the thief?"
Julian told him everything he knew. The others added parts he left out. Mr. Holmes was surprised! "Of course I'll help you," he said. "Let's go now!"
They arrived, and tried to open the door. "It's locked, sir," said Dick.
"No worries, I'll do it," replied Holmes. "Watson, come with me. And children, hide somewhere."
Sherlock and Watson went to door, and knocked loudly on it. "Open the door!" they shouted. The door creaked open, and a man stepped out. "That's my guardian," whispered Peter to the Five.
"Who are you? What do you want?" demanded the man.
"I'm Sherlock Holmes. We've heard that you stole something," said Sherlock Holmes. "Confess now!"
"It's a mistake!" exclaimed the man. "I stole nothing!"
"Nah! Let us in," said Holmes.
The man hesitated, but finally opened for the two gentlemen to come in. They searched everywhere, and found nothing, except a locked safe.
"What's in it?" asked Holmes to the man.
"Nothing, sir," said the man, trembling. "It's only some of my secret documents!"
"Are you sure??" asked Watson.
"Y... Yes" replied the man.
"Open it then!" commanded Holmes. "OPEN!!"
"Alright, alright," said the man, trembling even more. "I'll open!"
He opened the safe, and..... WOW!
CHAPTER 12 - More Discovery
Mr. Adams was telling the truth, it was some documents inside! Mr. Holmes scanned through the documents, and found nothing, except for some complicated math formulas. "What about the cellar?" he asked. "I would like to see what's down there!"
They were led into the cellar, and Sherlock Holmes crawled around. He knocked the floor, making sure it was not empty. "Mr. Adams," he said. "You can go up now. I want to investigate alone. Watson, please hold the candle for me."
Holmes continued to knocked on the floor, and crawled around. "Look, Watson." he whispered. "This place is hollow!"
"Really?" asked Watson.
"Come and see," replied Holmes.
Sure enough, it WAS hollow. Holmes knocked hardly on the floor, and part of it cracked open. And a Golden Cup revealed. The two hurried up. "Mr. Adams," said Holmes to the man, when he found him. "What is this? Why is it in your house?"
Suddenly, a voice sang upstairs. "We're the grooving Casdian women..."
"Err.. Who was that?" asked Watson.
"Finally a backflip!" sang the voice and a crashing voice came next. "Oof!" said the voice.
"Who was that?" inquired Holmes.
"It's my friend's daughter, Ruth," Adam replied.
"Pop! Is there guest down there?" yelled Ruth, upstairs. "You didn't tell me there is guest coming!"
"No, I don't think there is!" answered a man's voice.
"Now, who was that?" asked Watson.
"It's my friend" answered Adam.
"Anyways, where did you get this?" asked Holmes to Mr. Adams. "Where?"
"Argh...! I confess, my friend told me to hide it. So I hid it for him."
"What's your friend's name?"
"Mr. William Williams."
"Call him down."
CHAPTER 12 - Hooray!
"Watson," said Holmes under his breath. "Tell the children to bring the police, and quickly!"
"Yes, sir," replied Watson, in a whisper. "I'll be right back."
Mr. Williams came down the stairs with Mr. Adams, both looking very miserable. "Hi, William," said Holmes.
"H... Hello, Mr. H... Holmes," replied Mr. Williams, shaking with fear.
"Did you stole anything?" asked Mr. Holmes, grinning. "Perhaps, a Golden Cup?"
"Y... Yes, I stole it," replied the trembling man. "Please don't tell the police!"
Then, suddenly, the door swung open, and a police officer walked in. "Hi, Mr. Williams, Mr. Adams, and Sir Holmes," greeted the Officer. "Why! Mr. Williams and Mr. Adams just got out of prison, now they're returning!"
The polices quickly did their job, and the thieves were safely under lock and key. The Inspector explained to the children and Mr. Holmes that the two thieves were always helping each other to escape prison. "So I locked them together, then they can't help each other any more," he said. "They were dangerous criminal - they can do anything to get what they want. But this time, they'll be in prison for quite a long time!"
The Inspector thanked them, and went away. "Thanks, Mr. Holmes and Dr. Watson," said Julian, gratefully," Without your help, we'll not solve the mystery THAT quickly!" They parted, and headed back to where they live.
"WOW!" exclaimed Anne, when they're back to the campsite. "Another mystery solved!"
"What a jolly fun time we had!" said George.
"How wunnerful!" added Peter.
"It's wonDerful, Peter, not wunnerful," said Julian, laughing.
"Oh yes. WonDerful, wonDerful, wonDerful. I'll have to practice twenny times a day!"
"It twenTy, not twenNy," laughed Dick.
The children laughed and enjoyed the remaining day.
The children went back to Kirrin Cottage, after a few days. George's father was feeling well and was not sick anymore. They told everyone in cottage about their adventure, and everyone was surprised, especially George's father, when he heard that the children met Sherlocks Holmes, and Dr. Watson. Peter was sent to an orphanage, and was adopted by a kind family. As for Ruth, she was sent to a school, and learnt everything she had to know.
Well done, Famous Five, and goodbye! Did they hear us?
GOODBYE!!
"Woof!" barked Timmy. Only he had sharp ears to hear us. Goodbye to you too, until the next adventure!
